From the main tourist walk.

There are some hotels on the rim that do offer this view. One that isn't a million a night is the Hotel Panorama.

Nice place to park your bike.

Watching the sun set from the rim is an Official Thing To Do. It can be great, the time I was there, the sunsets were ordinary. Thanks to croping I can make it look good.
