The image above, and the one to the left give you a sense of the waterfront.

The first image was taken just about in front of the mosque at the far left of the second image.

This is the old harbor and is not used much by modern boats.

The waterfront is lined with hotels and places to eat. The red building at the far right (above) is a museum.

Looking northwest, towards the opening of the bay.

And once again the lighthouse. To walk to it required quite the effort as you had to go far to the right before you could get onto the berm protecting the harbor that ended with this lighthouse.

Some smaller boats are seen, but this is off the old harbor in a more modern area.

The "Limnos", frigate of the Greek navy. Built by the Dutch and commissioned in 1982.

As always, Greek life continues well into the night. I was here late in the season so things had calmed down a bit.

But hey, maybe you get fireworks.
