Sailing can be as a crewmember, as a passanger, or sail it yourself (bareboat charter). You can be alone or with other boats (flotilla). You can learn to sail in structured classes, or try your own skills. Of course you can also go on motor yachts from cramped to luxurous. The islands are close together, you are usually not out of sight of land, and so navigation isn't quite the challenge it might be crossing the Atlantic.
