The hotel overlooks the railroad, in fact, it is practically on top of the railroad. Sounds like a railfan's paradise. 8 trains a day. Except it is the same train, 8 times! Still, the restaurant is nice, and Zachlorou is worth a walk.

This photo looks south west. The train is coming down the mountain, heading towards Diakofto. The steep walking path to Mega Spilieo monastery starts behind the hotel at the far end, just about where the train is. The main part of the town of Zachlorou is off to the right.

I did not go inside the hotel, so I can't tell you about it.
