The Pythian Games at Delphi
The Olympic games are the best known, but were not the only of the games of ancient Greece. Next in prominence to them were the Pythian games which took place at Delphi every four years and two years after the Olympic games.

The stadium as it exists today is a mixture of work from the Classical and Roman periods.

7,000 can sit in the stone seats along the north side (far side in the photo).
