A two story villa on a roof.
Can you imagine eating dinner here, as the sun goes down?
Rooftop restaurant waits to open; south of the Acropolis.
We never could figure out what this was.
A forrest on the roof.
Classy - like how airy it would be with the doors wide.
A hedge on a roof.
This reminds me of a ship's bridge, somehow.
Nice shady spot (with dog).
They like plants.
How, exactly, do you get onto that roof?
Not every roof is a success.
Firewood?
Unusual color for Greek building.
Swiming pools - used and not.
Everything else is junk, but he's got his classical element.
Room 701 at the top of the Hotel Philippos. I've stayed there. Great view of the Acropolis.
They've got a couch to watch the Parthenon and they don't care about anything else.
Wrapped around.
Just big enough for one.

Athens' forest of concrete buildings can appear forbidding or sterile at times, but up on the rooftops there is a wide variety of interesting things going on. Roll over the thumbnails for a closer look.
